Well we are in the last trimester and getting pretty excited! The nursery is almost done and the baby showers are starting next month! Time has sure flown by. Seems like we just found out we were expecting! Our baby countdown has begun....10 weeks, 4days! That is if the little guy goes full term! ha.

We are happy and blessed to say that we are 13 weeks pregnant. We have had two doctors visits so far and the baby is doing just wonderful! More updates to come in the future! Keep us in your prayers!

Move in Date!

We finally got a date for us to move into our new house! We could not be more excited! We can start moving in Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. Allen is working so we will only be able to move at night but hopefully we can be completely moved by the end of the week! Keep your fingers crossed!

By the way, Nikki's baby shower went wonderful Saturday! We had so much fun and I cant wait for little Mary-Ashlee to arrive! I will post pictures soon from the shower.

Swedenburg Update!

Well, its been forever since I have posted anything and I promise I am going to get better. I am FINALLY off of work for the Summer. I am really excited about this Summer because it's the first time since I was 16 that I haven't been working 2 or 3 jobs and going to school. I am ready for a relaxing Summer!

We have been super busy with Allen's Softball Schedule. We have been everywhere playing ball already this year and the season isn't over yet. We just got back from a Pensacola, FL tournament. Thank heavens, we went before the oil arrived. From Pensacola, we drove to Tampa, FL to visit with Kara and Tyler and the kids. We had a blast! Those babies are soooo precious! We sure hated to leave. We are looking forward to them coming home in July for the Family Reunion.

We are moving to Columbus, MS very soon and we could not be more excited about it! I work in Columbus, he plays in the park league in Columbus, my parents live in Columbus, and most of our friends are from Columbus so we cant wait to get moved in and be closer to everything and everybody! We should be able to start moving in the next 2 weeks! I have got to finish packing up. I want to be ready to move as soon as we get the go ahead.

Well, for right now, thats all I can think of to update everyone about. I am helping with a baby shower Saturday for my best friend Nikki so I have tons to do today. I will for sure keep you posted! I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!

Wedding Update!

Okay, I had to sacrifice my hopes of getting married on New Years Day but it was well worth it. The official wedding date is January 16th! This date worked better for us and for everyone else for so many reasons! We are extremely excited!!! Now that I am officially graduated from college I am having lots of time to plan the life changing event! I had no idea there was so much to do! We still have engagement pictures to take! lol. I am no bridezilla yet, still plenty of time! : )

Today was a very busy day! Allen and I went to church at 9 this morning but didnt get to stay the whole time...We had to leave early because we had his family reunion to go too. Just when I think I have met all of his family I meet more and more Swedenburgs! haha. What a wonderful family I am marrying in too. After the reunion we had a baby shower to go too for one of mutual friends...and after that, we met my best friend Alex (the maid of honor) for dinner at Santa Fe and after that we went to WAL-MART...and now we are up watching Forrest Gump with Katie! What an adventful day!

Well, yesterday i took my last final of my college career...Wow! what an amazing feeling. It took me almost 6 years but it was well worth it! I have to thank my family for all of their support and encouragement because finishing was not easy and i wanted to give up a long time ago. I dont have my degree in hand yet but i am already ready to frame it! haha. Now that school is finished, I can finally start planning our wedding! We finally picked a date (1/1/10) that works for everyone and now we just have to find our perfect place. What an amazing day it is going to be and i can not think of a better way to start the new year!

Here are some pictures from our trip to Texas. We had an amazing time and the fields they played on were unreal! Every field was made to look like a major league baseball field...SO AWESOME! They ended up winning the tournament so we have to go back there in a few weeks for another tournament...I cant wait!

We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. I had four players who could not make it to the banquet so the group pictures of all of us are a little slim. Well that time has come. Boy am I glad, what a rough semester this has been. I took one final this morning at 11:30 that was 9 pages long (front to back) and the last 3 pages of it was discussion/short answer questions! 36 chapters worth of information on one test with no study guide! so it was a booger! I have another one for the same professor tomorrow morning so i know what to expect now! I plan on taking a little nap and then regrouping! Please pray for me.

Here are some of the photos from the intramural teams I have played on...I have just recently started playing intramural sports and I LOVE IT! It is such a great way to stay active and relieve stress! Not to mention, a great way to meet new people and grow closer to the ones I already know! I have enjoyed playing all different sports like sand volleyball, flag football, ultimate frisbee...its so nice to play something besides softball! haha. We are currently playing Ultimate Frisbee, WISH US LUCK! :)

Forgiveness

Saturday, Feb. 9th, 2008, 10:14 a.m. - For those who do not know about our wreck, I will try to give you a brief summary. I don't even know where to begin. That particular Saturday morning, I decided that I wanted to go to town with my mom and dad to do some shopping. So, my mom hopped in the drivers seat, my dad being the gentleman that he is, let me ride up front in the passangers seat and he sat in the backseat behind me. We all buckled up and off we went. Well less than a mile from our house a lady by the name of Tammy Woolbright ran a stop sign and struck my moms SUV in the side, causing us to flip two complete times back on to all four wheels. She claimed to have never saw us coming. Thankfully, we were all okay except for a few cuts and bruises. I had never been in a wreck before and this one has def. had a huge effect on me. You can not imagine what it is like to close your eyes and listen so hard, so hard for your parents to make a noise so that you know they are alive. Those 2 flips seemed to last 2 years! After the wreck, I could not sleep, for nearly 2 weeks, I did not sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, I would have nightmares that we all died, or my mom died, or my dad died, or that I lost both my parents that day. I was trapped inside the car because my door was badly smashed in so I had a lot of time to sit and look around the car at all the damage, making my dreams very real! I woke up thinking they were true and I would go to my parents room and look for them. I eventually went to a doctor and was diagnosed with post-tramatic stress disorder and was given medication to help control my severe anxiety attacks, my depression, my irrational thoughts, and to help me rest at night. I also was referred to a therapist. One of the major things that we focused on in therapy was being able to forgive. I was having a hard time forgiving because I was so angry at this woman for almost taking my family away from me or me away from my family and never once apologizing. Showing zero remorse for what she had done. I do realize that everyone makes mistakes but in almost every situation, we all still say, "I am sorry!". Three simple words can do so much and can mean so much. I was so very angry at her. Still to this day, I have not been able to forgive her until last night...

Last night, I went to our young adult bible class and we talked about the book of Matthew, Chapter 6. At first we focused on the first four verses, we talked about doing good things for others not because we want to look good in front of others or want something in return but just out of the goodness of our hearts. Next, we focused on Matthew 6:12. We talked about how forgiveness is the best gift you can ever receive and the best gift that you can give to others. Jesus passionately taught us to forgive others, to let go, to let him handle it. He wants us to be at peace and in order for that to happen anger must be replaced with forgiveness. Col.3:13 says, You must make allowance for each other's faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. I have finally been able to let go and a great burden was lifted! So who says that bible studies are just social events and time to visit...

Octoberfest!

I took some pictures last night at our schools "Octoberfest" and wanted to share them. It was so much fun seeing all the little ones in their costumes and even more fun seeing all the animal's costumes. There was even a bunny in a pumpkin suit. haha. Carnivals are so much fun and they keep you young! I even got to bob for apples! haha. What a fun night!

Mississippi's Walk for the Diabetes

Today we laced up our shoes to walk for Mississippi's No. 1 health problem - Diabetes.

Legions of walkers, runners, bicyclers, skaters and strollers alike joined friends, family members, co-workers and pets to walk for a healthier Mississippi each year at Mississippi’s Walk for Diabetes, held in various locations around the state.

Sponsored by the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi (DFM) – the state’s only nonprofit organization that provides diabetes research, education, patient services, children’s programs and advocacy to Mississippians of all ages, – the annual Walk for Diabetes draws hundreds of participants. Participants come to show their support for not only the DFM’s mission of service to the 346,500 Mississippians with diabetes but also for their loved ones fighting the disease.

I am the president of our Health and Kinesiology Club at the W and I felt that it was important for our group to participate today. We had a wonderful time and the weather was beautiful! I think everyone knows of someone or has family members battling diabetes. It is so important that we do our part! God Bless all who helped raise money for the Foundation today! Your reward is in Heaven!

Today I went to lunch with some of my friends that I go to school with. Seriously, if it were not for good friends and family, where would we all be in this world? Here are some pictures from our Softball season this year. This was my first year at Heritage Academy and I loved every minute of it. Everyone welcomed me with open arms and was very supportive. I had a wonderful group of girls that I will always have a special place in my heart for! This job opportunity was something that I definitely could not pass up. I am very blessed to have had the chance to be a head softball coach before I even graduate college. Most coaches coach for years as an assistant to have the opportunity to be where I am today. I am very grateful to everyone who has been supportive and encouraging during my first year. My girls worked so very hard this season and I am very proud of them. More proud then they will ever know. They made it to the play-offs for the first time in school history this year and that in its self is wonderful! It is so amazing when you put God first and play every inning of every game for Him what great things can happen! Go Lady Patriots!

These are a few pictures from the night of my 24th birthday. I can not believe that I turned 24 last month, the time has sure passed by. We started the night out eating at one of my favorite places, Mi Toro! O and it was delicious! Yummy in the Tummy! And then we went bowling, which I had not done in years! I had a blast! Such good, clean fun! I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday! Here is to being 24!
